WordPress - cons and cons

Much has been written and said about WordPress. No wonder, it is one of the most used (if not the most used) CMS system in the world. We also have practical experience with it, and that is one of the many reasons why we do not use similar solutions when creating a website.

We would like to convince you that in the price/performance ratio with our solutions WordPress does not have a very big chance to win.
WordPress - cons and cons
The title of the article is deliberately a bit exaggerated, because although this solution (like any other) has its pros, not a single advantage of this CMS is too relevant for us. We are of the opinion that even on an open source solution such as WordPress, theoretically any website can be built. And it does not immediately mean that a WordPress website will have limited features, weak security, insufficient loading speed or that it will be exactly the same as thousands of other websites. These are common arguments of agencies that instead of wordpress make websites on their own solutions (often in PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter).

We will look at the matter from a different point of view. Yes, even in WordPress (and other similar CMS systems), an individual or a company can create a high-quality, beautiful and original website for you. But such a solution will not be cheap. And although price should not be the most important criterion when choosing a supplier, there is no doubt that it is not only important but often decisive.

Price for the work

If we are not talking about a website for rent, where you pay a monthly flat fee for the service provided, the highest amount you will pay will be for the analysis, design and development of the website (the model website will be a corporate presentation with 5 pages and common functions such as a photo gallery, a contact form, or an introductory slider). And the assumption is that the website is high-quality, fast and original.
You will pay an average of 500 - 2000 Euros for such a website in WordPress. The variance is wider, the resulting price includes a number of known and hidden variables, and each website is de facto original, so it is almost impossible to determine the exact amount without more detailed input.

Price for maintenance

The cost of development will not be your only cost. In order for a WordPress website to be usable and secure in the long term, it must be taken care of by a professional. It can cost you 50-200 Euros per year.

Price for hosting

The last cost for your website will be the domain and web hosting. For a domain with the ending "com" you will pay approximately 15 Euros per year. For hosting it will be 25 - 100 Euros per year.

Let's assume that you want your new website to serve reliably for at least 5 years. The table below compares the prices of a rental website, a WordPress website and our supermodern real-time website. Add to the rental price possible price increases and the time you will spend creating the website. The provider will only make its platform available to you, you usually have to click on the website and fill it with content yourself.

The table clearly shows that you will pay even less for a supermodern real-time website from us in 5 years than if you rent the website. And much less than the WordPress one. Have you found a cheaper web supplier than us? Contact us anyway and let us prepare a non-binding price offer for a real-time website. It is possible that you will end up paying even less with us.
